10.18.2024 Public Notice: FY2024 Local JAG Solicitation (PDF)
The County of Jefferson, Missouri (hereafter the “County”) and the Jefferson
County Sheriff’s Office applied to the United States Bureau of Justice for a Justice
Assistance Grant (JAG) for the 2024 fiscal year for the purchase of Dual Band
Radios. The total cost is $35,293.00 and no matching funds are required. A copy of
the grant application is available for inspection on the County Website and at
the Office of Contracts and Grants located in the Jefferson County
Administration Center as well as the Sheriff’s Office in Hillsboro, Missouri.

7.9.2024 Jefferson County is Now a Purple Heart County (PDF)
At the July 8, 2024 County Council Meeting, a proclamation was read by County Executive Dennis Gannon proclaiming Jefferson County as A Purple Heart County. The proclamation was signed by the County Executive and members of the County Council.

12.28.2023 2024 Personal Property Assessment List (PDF)
On January 5th, the Jefferson County Assessor’s Office will mail 104,530 personal property assessment lists for 2024 to county residents. State statute requires all owners of personal property to declare what they owned or what was under their control on January 1st of each year to the Assessor’s Office.

Jefferson County, MO and City of Crystal City receive EWGCOG Exemplary Accomplishment by a Local Government, Jurisdiction, Agency or Individual Award for their Partnership to Secure New Manufacturing Facility – James Hardie Industries at the East-West Gateway Council of Governments 58th Annual Meeting and Awards Luncheon Program held on November 15, 2023.
